It's hip to be square....

God help me, I just quoted Huey Lewis and the News!
I made a square pin cushion, because basically I got fed up of sewing in circles to make the round ones!
But, and now be honest, should I make more of these or does it look like a baby's toy block. Mr.M agreed just a bit too quickly that it did so I'm leaning towards yes.
What do you think?
And does anyone else have Huey singing away in their head?

I love the cube one, it looks like it would be more stable than the round ones? Gorgeous print.

I actually like your square pincushion! It's different!

Maybe if you're up to it you can make it from small rainbow coloured patchwork squares and make it look like a Rubik's cube!

Yes I do have Huey in my head now!
I really like the square pincushion. I think the fabric is what determines whether it looks like a pincushion or a baby's block.

Yep, am liking the square. Simons surname is Lewis and we did think about Hugh as a boys name-just for a laugh really.

I hear music and I see daggy dancing... da, dah, dah, da, da, dah... but I think your pin cushion is very cool! And should you find yourself with a baby and no toys, why couldn't you pull the pins out and pretend?! :)
