Perverse Luck

I shouldn't have mentioned Mr.M's car in my last post. I must have offended it, because not an hour later off he goes to drop Bigski at a friends house (something I normally do) and the car makes a BAD noise. The nice man from the RAC said the suspension coil has snapped. Oh joy. The weird thing is it could have snapped anywhere, like on his fast hour's drive up the motorway to work this morning - which wouldn't have been good, but instead it broke on the drive way, so really it was lucky - perverse or what! I reckon it could be part of a conspiracy to get cars off the road....

And when he went to pick up Bigski, in my car, the iron blew up. Literally. Big blue flash and big bang! Obviously a conspiracy to stop me wasting Sunday evening ironing school uniforms!
It's a funny old life.....
Anyway, I'm off for a walk into town to attempt to buy a new iron (it's a small town), wish me luck!

If your suspension thingummy is gonna go, let it be in the driveway, (mops brow at thought of alternatives)
There's something about iron shopping that excites me. It IS a funny old world.
PS. the word verification thingy was nippl.

Overuse. It's a sign from above to do less ironing. Really, wrinkles are the new pressed!

Firstly,I'd like to say i liked your knockers from your previous post ;-) (love that English/Aussie sense of humour too!) Anyway 'Thank you' for commenting on my post. Funnily enough my oldest friend is also a Sharon and also turning 40 on the 18th. It's a good omen. Now I am officially '40' it's fine. You feel and look the same. I hope you are celebrating too..and seriously it's worth it. I look forward to hearing how you do embrace 40. xox

or you could try what my nanna always did. Fold the clothes into little piles, pop them under the couch cushions and sit down and watch TV- Move along a cushion after each show- or get the kids to help.

I need a new iron like nobodies business! tell me what you buy, let's talk irons! I'm afraid (note terrified) that mine will kill me! then they could put killed by ironing on my grave!

Speaking of "flash & bang", my 20 yr old hairdryer did that yesterday morning while I was jiggling the power cord, pushing it into the appliance to stop it cutting out.
Word of advice, if 20 yr old hairdryer "cuts out" it's probably time to say goodbye & get another.
KAPOWWWWWEEEEEE!!!!!!
