Summer in England?? That would be Wellies and umbrellas then.....
Only joking! Actually I'm not, it's quite true. But let's suspend the reality of a proper British summer for the fantasy of what they could be like.....
Waking up to the sun...
Long days of no school and just faffing about...
Picnics (obviously with decent food, not the normal ropey cheese sandwich, squashed at the bottom of the bag...)
Clotted cream and home made scones at a little tea shop, in a pretty village somewhere ...
A deserted beach...
That'll do nicely thank you!
Thanks to Anastasia for this weeks theme, and to Bug and Pop for the Eye Spy fun!

Isn't it funny when we do get a 'run of good weather' (two days on the trot) we start planning weeks ahead! Then it rains. Every time. And we are always caught by surprise!
I've heard your beaches are pretty good, I could happily chill out in one of those chairs.
that sounds lovely!!
Yay for the ropey cheese sandwich! - with sand in it, and your hair blown in your face by arctic winds while your hands go numb! Roll on British summer!
The promise of a day or two of summer has really brightened my freezing evening - thank you!
I spent three summers in London and must have got lucky with the "fantasy" 3 years running. I loved the long days and the faffing (I use this word all the time and always saw it as phaffing) that you can do for hours after work. We spent many a weekend eating scones (which accounts for the many kilos I put on!) and did discover a few near deserted beaches to stomp on.
Thanks for dropping by.
